On August 24th, 1980, Julian's opened for business in Telluride, Colorado. The restaurant was named in honor of owner Wayne Gustafson's grandfather. In the 1930's and 1940's, his grandfather owned a restaurant of the same name in Deep River, Connecticut.

In June of 1989, Julian's relocated to our present location in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Julian's Restaurant is nestled on a narrow street near the banks of the Santa Fe river, a block-and-a-half south of the historic Plaza. In a city where innovation and regional flavors routinely blend to the delight of tourists and locals alike, Julian's is taking center-stage with its reworking of classic recipes. Julian's features Italian meals that Travel & Leisure Magazine says Milan would be hard-pressed to match.

Over the past twelve years, Wayne and members of the staff have traveled numerous times to Italy to research food and wine and to share the experience.

The service at Julian's is relaxed, informal and professional. We can offer a private room for large parties and special occasions.

Julian's Restaurant has been voted "Santa Fe's Most Romantic Restaurant" by the readership polls of The New Mexican and The Reporter since 1998. Known for its Italian Regional Cuisine and extensive Italian wine list, the restaurant offers a memorable experience.
